Harbour Day Exhibition by Joanne Wishart
“Harbour Day” is a showcase of North East artist Joanne Wishart’s colourful new paintings.
 
Come along to the Mushroom Works
Gallery and you will find large canvases filled with quirky
compositions depicting shoals of fish, colourful boats and harbour
village scenes. A walk through the gallery will evoke memories of a fun
day out by the sea with imagery portraying the sunnier side of coastal
life. This is an exhibition for all the family to enjoy.
Joanne
spends many weekends with husband Ross enjoying the North East
coastline where she is never without her sketch book. Once back in her
studio at the Mushroom Works she uses a combination of techniques
including paint, collage, stitch and printmaking to produce pictures
rich with textured surfaces, hidden layers and splashes of colour.
Alongside
these original paintings there will be a large selection of limited
edition prints and artist cards available to purchase and Joanne will
be available throughout the exhibition to happily discuss her work.
