Self taught, raw and aggressive, I am in awe of nature's beauty and power, and strive to capture her essence. My painting predominantly reflects my mood, channelled by the subject matter. I spurn detail and am compelled to mask the image.
Painting direct, with little or no brushwork, I aspire to reach a closer affinity with the elements. Beginning to paint with a huge sense of urgency, no preliminaries, no preparatory thought.
The creative process is driven by raw emotion. Completion is dictated by the exorcism of a spirit within. |
