Jane Jackson
Bright Seed Textile paintings are made by Jane Jackson in Rock Village, Northumberland. Jane uses a North Eastern craft technique known as "hooking" to produce her textile paintings. She works primarily with brightly coloured handwoven Harris Tweeds and also with taffetas, yarns and beads. Jane's work is inspired by the artists such as Matiise, the Bauhaus weavers, vintage textile designs, the varied land and seascapes within Northumberland. |
