Lanercost Steam & Country Fair

Welcome to Lanercost Steam & Country Fair
3rd & 4th July 2010

The Lanercost Steam & Country Fair is a new show to Cumbria for 2010 and we are very much building this show for the future to be an annual event.  Representing diversity in the agricultural community the fair aims to act as a shop window into local traditions in Lanercost and Cumbria, with the added attraction of vintage steam memorabilia.  Located adjacent to the historic Lanercost Priory, which attracts over 18,000 visitors per year, close to the World Heritage site of Hadrian’s Wall and set on  the Naworth Estate, the event looks to be a pinnacle date in the calendar of the Cumbrian community.

Over 6 million people visit agricultural and county shows in the UK annually, that’s approximately 10% of the population. This fact coupled with the importance for business creativity this year makes this show a great new opportunity.   The broad spectrum of attractions, specialist areas and vibrant array of exhibitors,  will create a family day out for those with an eye for quality.

Excellent shopping, trade stands, specialists including crafts and food with demonstrations and activity will mean there’s plenty to see and do all day long.  In true tradition of any country show tractors, steam engines, vintage lorries, classic cars to vintage vehicles will be on display offering pristine examples of vehicles throughout the ages.

‘Lanercost – Tea Rooms, Farm Shop and Gallery’, voted in the top 3 in 2009 for The Cumberland News Business Awards for ‘Best Tourism Project/Best Day Out’ is only a stone’s throw away providing another reason for people to visit the area, what could be more perfect!

We have spaces for all type of exhibitors and local businesses, entertainers, rural crafts, handmade crafts, local food producers, or maybe you are a collector or a steam fanatic?  To be part of the Lanercost Steam & Country Fair please complete the attached exhibitor stand confirmation form ASAP.
