Venue

The building is a Grade 1 listed Octagon shaped Georgian Chapel, and has been recently refurbished as an anchor store for the Milsom Place estate. The Octagon lies at the heart of Milsom Street – Bath’s prime shopping area, with frontages onto three streets with high levels of footfall (measured at two separate times of the year at 45-67,000 per week)  of the right type i.e. wealthy, sophisticated and style aware.

This part of Bath is virgin territory for selling exhibitions and yet has a strong mix of markets; international and UK tourists, a wide regional catchments including the ‘celebrity Cotswolds’ and a high density of affluent/sophisticated neighbourhoods within walking distance of the prime shopping district.

Promotion and Publicity

Handmade will be supported by a publicity campaign, which will target a range of media including radio, newspapers, monthly magazines, trade press and buyers. We will also use direct mail and e marketing to let visitors know about the event. Exhibitors are requested to work with Handmade in Britain to promote the event at every level possible.
