Border Green Festival

The Berwick Community Trust is organising the fifth annual Border Green Festival on Sunday June 28th 2009, 11am-5.30pm, at Five Arches Playing Fields, Tweedmouth, Berwick-upon-Tweed.

The festival is a celebration of all the various things that go together to make our community sustainable. It is also a great opportunity to learn about some of the issues our society faces such as energy generation and use, food production, nature conservation, traditional arts and crafts, sustainable transport, complementary therapy and waste and recycling.

Last year over 2,500 visitors enjoyed a very busy and successful event, over 45 national and local organisations, local businesses, craft workers and artists exhibited at the festival. This year we are planning for an attendance of more than 3000 people.
We have confirmed the following:

·         An environment marquee with space for 30 community and environmental organisations.
·         Workshops and activities for a range of age groups.
·         Arts and crafts marquee with demonstrations and exhibits.
·         A music stage with interactive musical workshops.

Fees: For non-VAT registered businesses the charge will be £20
For VAT registered businesses the charge will be £30

Stalls: covered market stalls [approximately 8ft by 6ft] or space in the Arts and Crafts Marquee is provided.
