Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt

A new event has been organised for November and December at Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt.

The first event is taking place on Saturday 15th November at Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt. It is a market set up where by a series of ‘mini-boutique’ like stalls, regional artists and designers have a chance at selling their products directly to the public. A specialised showcase of some of the best creative talent in the region, works from both emerging and established artists and designers.

On sale there will be a diverse collection of high quality contemporary items from fashion garments and accessories to art, textiles, ceramics, photography, jewellery, vintage and interior products.

Most pieces will be bespoke items designed or made up by the stall holders themselves. Designers such as Kate Fearnley are having a stall and showcasing her new collection, there will be ceramics by Jill Ford, Jewellery by Punky Pins and Kokkino, sustainable organic designers babywear by KatieSue, fashion accessories by Chickadee, hand rendered designer stationary by Senor Picklesworth, product/furniture design by Jago, the list goes on. The website will be updated daily to inform everyone of who else is getting on board with the market. So far it is looking very exciting, and the feedback has been fantastic.

There are still places available for vendors who would like to hire a stall for the day on either of the pre Christmas events.

In the new year the plan is to have the market on rotation between Newcastle, Leeds, York and Middlesbrough, building up a ‘creative network’ and following as it grows.
